A good news for all of us who can’t live without chocolate. It can help you lose weight by eating it. You must think I’m crazy, but read on. Cacao or pure chocolate contains chemicals which increase serotonin levels in our brain and supresses appetite. Increased serotonin levels give us a feeling of happines and it’s also an natural anti-depresant. Cacao also has many antioxidants and has properties of a natural aphrodisiac (which might helps your love life). There are also healthy minerals in it and mood-boosting compounds such as PEA, the love chemical.
But beware. You should (or MUST) eat only unrefined chocolate, because many comercial products containt lot of sugar, hydrogenated fats, mild and other additives which cancel the benefits of pure chocolate. In my experience I do get in better mood after eating some chocolate, so this must be true to some point.
